About Us
Veronica Salazar
Veronica Salazar is originally from Harlingen, Texas. After receiving her Associates in Applied Science in Network Information Management from Texas State Technical College, she worked in various industries until landing a job with H & R Block. During her six years with H & R Block, she realized she had a love for numbers and had a fascination with tax law. She decided to go back to school. While pursuing her 2nd degree, Veronica did a one year paid internship with a CPA firm in McAllen, Texas, working under several CPAs assisting with payroll preparation for companies in the U.S. & Mexico, plus she assisted with preparation of Franchise, Partnership & S-Corp tax returns. Following that, she also did a year with the Rio Grande Valley Chamber of Commerce as their Finance Director. During her year there, she managed finances for the Chamber and seven other nonprofit organizations that were administered through the Chamber. Actively involved with all Chamber events, she was acknowledged by the Texas House of Representatives for assisting in the coordination of the State Legislature's visit to the Rio Grande Valley. She also single-handedly coordinated a reception for U.S. Ambassador Garza in Mexico City at his residence in 2006.
In late 2008, Veronica decided to have a change of scenery and felt that there was more opportunity out there. Her and her daughter relocated to Tri-Cities, Washington. After a short while of working for a local computer company, a colleague suggested she start a business doing what Veronica was already doing. BOOKKEEPING. So with the help of that colleague, BillaBillz, L.L.C opened it's doors August 1, 2009. Going on 14 years, BillaBillz L.L.C. has evolved into a trusted name in the industry and has shifted more of a consulting and training business. Veronica specializes in bookkeeping cleanups, QuickBooks training and has started teaching basic bookkeeping. She loves helping clients become better organized with their bookkeeping and developing trust that leads to not only a business relationship with them, but a personal relationship. She is also eager to change the stigma about bookkeepers and help give fellow bookkeepers the confidence in themselves and what they do. Veronica's business motto is that "Nothing business starts without being personal."
Veronica's credentials include a Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and is also an Intuit Certified Professional Bookkeeper. Veronica also is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Veronica is Certified in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Advanced. In August 2023, BillaBillz, L.L.C. was voted as one of Tri Cities Best Accounting Firms. Veronica also created Bookkeeping for Beginners classes, Payroll 101 classes, offers group trainings, has regular training presentations at Trade Schools and a coauthor on the newest release of "I'm A F*cking Entrepreneur" Volume III.
