About Us
Veronica Salazar
Veronica Salazar is originally from Harlingen, Texas. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Network Information Management from Texas State Technical College and gained experience in various industries before finding her passion for numbers at H&R Block. During her six-year tenure there, she developed a deep interest in tax law, which motivated her to return to school for a second degree.
While pursuing her Bachelor's in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, Veronica completed a one-year paid internship at a CPA firm in McAllen, Texas. There, she worked under multiple CPAs, assisting with payroll preparation for businesses in both the U.S. and Mexico, as well as preparing Franchise, Partnership, and S-Corp tax returns. Following that, she served as the Finance Director for the Rio Grande Valley Chamber of Commerce, managing finances for the Chamber and seven nonprofit organizations under its administration. During her time there, she played an active role in Chamber events and was formally recognized by the Texas House of Representatives for her contributions to coordinating the State Legislature’s visit to the Rio Grande Valley. Additionally, she single-handedly organized a reception for U.S. Ambassador Garza at his residence in Mexico City in 2006.
In late 2008, seeking new opportunities, Veronica and her daughter relocated to Tri-Cities, Washington. After briefly working for a local computer company, a colleague encouraged her to start her own business—doing what she was already excelling at: bookkeeping. With that support, BillaBillz, L.L.C. officially opened its doors on August 1, 2009.
Now, nearly 15 years later, BillaBillz, L.L.C. has grown into a trusted name in the industry, evolving into a consulting and training business. Veronica specializes in bookkeeping cleanups, QuickBooks training, and developing bookkeeping and payroll courses designed to empower both business owners and bookkeepers. She is passionate about helping clients become more organized, fostering trust that turns business relationships into meaningful connections. She is also committed to reshaping the perception of bookkeepers and instilling confidence in those working in the profession. Her business motto? "Nothing in business starts without being personal."
Veronica holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and is an Intuit Certified Professional Bookkeeper. She is an Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor, certified in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks Online Advanced, and a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
In August 2023, BillaBillz, L.L.C. was voted one of Tri-Cities’ Best Accounting Firms. In 2024, Veronica added "published author" to her list of achievements, contributing to two books:

Outside of bookkeeping, Veronica is an endurance athlete who has completed multiple ultradistance races. In 2024, she took on major challenges, including:

* Ironman 70.3 Washington
